A native of Detroit, Keith West attended Wayne County Community College where he earned an Associates of Arts Degree in General Studies. He currently attends Wayne State University studying Communications and Broadcast Journalism.
Keith started with S.A.F.E Management as an Event Security staff member in July of 2014. After gaining security experience, he was promoted to a 24-Hour security officer in May of 2015, where he worked part-time. In April 2018, Keith was promoted to 24-Hour Shift Supervisor. As a supervisor, Keith was awarded the 2019 Ford Field 24/7 Security Employee of the Year. In August of 2020, he was promoted to his current role as S.A.F.E Management Security Training Coordinator.
As Security Training Coordinator, Keith is responsible for coordinating, conducting and facilitating training sessions for members of 24/7 Security. Other responsibilities under Keith’s current role include; maintaining a monthly training log, providing daily instruction to staff, examining potential unsafe working conditions, conducting investigations, rules infractions or illegal actions, and assisting Ford Field Operations with stadium security operations during all major full stadium events. Keith is also an Executive Protection Unit Lead where he provides dignitary protection services for Detroit Lions team personnel and visiting team Ownership at Ford Field.
Additionally, Keith is a part of the S.A.F.E Super Bowl Travel team; gaining experience working 4 total NFL Super Bowl’s. He worked as a security CCTV operator for Super Bowl LII at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He supervised and worked as a security command center dispatcher for Super Bowl LIII at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. Keith supervised and worked as a security command center dispatcher for Super Bowl LIV at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. And lastly, he supervised and worked as a security command center dispatcher for Super Bowl LV at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay, Florida.
