Sean Griffin joins the S.A.F.E Management Florida team with extensive collegiate sports management experience. Sean most recently served as the Facility Director in the Athletics Department at Oakland University located in Rochester Hills, Michigan. During his tenure at Oakland University, Sean was responsible for leading Game Day Operations for several of the Athletic Departments Division 1 athletic programs. Most notably, working with Horizon League Officials to organize the 2023 Cross Country Championships, 2023 Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Championships, and the 2021 Men’s Soccer Championships. Sean also supervised the day-to-day activities, facilitating work orders and repairs for the various competition areas around the Athletic Department.
Sean also served as the Coordinator of Athletic Operations at Minot State University during his career. During his four-year tenure, he oversaw day-to-day operations, worked as a business office liaison, and aided with the City of Minot and the North Dakota High School Activities Association on the execution of the larger events held at the Minot State University Dome.
Sean attended Western Michigan University where he double majored in Marketing and Recreation with a minor in General Business. Having an interest in Sports Administration, Sean attended the Sports Management program at Central Michigan University, where he worked as a Graduate Intern in the Chippewa Athletics Facilities and Events department.
